I am all for supporting British talent, epsecially when they have the type of talent which impresses the states, but Estelle what happened here?

Estelle has made a video for her new track, 'Freak' featuring Kardinal Offishal, and I have to say I was not expecting this sound from her. It's not to suggest that because she was so successful with the likes of 'American Boy', that the poor girl has to stick to that sound all the time, but this song and video just sounds and looks too forced!

However, that being said, i think it will do good in the UK, BUT not so good in the US. It's just too dancey and off-key for them.

The Brit Awards was quite good yesterday. I was very entertained from JLS nearly knocking each other out, when they won their two awards for Best Single and Best British Break Through Act, to Noel Gallagher being called a 'knobhead' by show host, Peter Kay, after Noel gave his award to the crowd.

I was told to 'Feel the fear and do it any way' by a very wise woman, and the more and more I think about it, the more I'm starting to realise how serious that statement really is... "FEEL THE FEAR AND DO IT ANYWAY."

While attempting to make it to work this morning and meeting 20,000 police officers blocking the one-way system like it was a murder scene, as oppose to a couple of burst water pipes, it really dawned on my friend and I, that nothing in life is guaranteed. If you want something then just go for it, otherwise you're always going to wonder about the things you never did, those places you never went , that trip you never took! You've got my point and you've heard it all before, but it's true!!! Everyone and the stars in the sky know what I want to do and where i wanna end up - "NEW YORK, concrete jungle where dreams are made of..."

But the question is why am I so afraid to just shut-up, save my money and attempt to see if I can live out my dreams? I'll tell you why! It's because I don't know whether I'm gonna come back and struggle like i did last year after my redundancy!!! MY POOR BONES COULDN'T BARE IT! But on the flip side, London bores me to no end and I don't see my life here unless I end up like Fearne Cotton!!!!! So therefore, I've made the conscious decision that 2010 is year to make things REALLLLLY happen and take chances.

Therefore I'll be making a decision by the end of this week about my NY plans, because it's time I stop chatting nonsense really.

I dropped in the snow in such a fashion today. I was actually speechless, and I am never speechless! I fell on my bum wearing my lovely Mac Jacket. I don't mind tell you it was a disgrace! I even gave myself whiplash trying to see if anyone saw me!!!!

I was soooooooo consumed with the mockery, that when I was going down the escalator in the tube station, I dropped my Blackberry on the steps, and tried to go up the escalator to retrieve it!!!! A random man, saw my struggle and picked it up for me!

All of this mockery is because of the damn SNOW. As for me, I fidup of it! It's not romantic, interesting, pretty or fun in the slightest. I am so ready for the snow to stop before I do myself a dis-service!!!

Why is it that some women are suckers for fashion?

It may sound a bit strong but that’s literally what I’ve been thinking this week! My work place exists in the shopper’s paradise known as Oxford Circus. The popular shopping area graces a lot of regular people who have become fashionista in their own right. I see people everyday stunting the streets like they are Kate, Naomi and Tyra all rolled in one and that’s not the problem as I do the same thing.
Here is where the mind boggles… there is always someone who takes things too far, and that’s where some strange ensembles arise.

Don’t get me wrong! I’m not the new Gok Wan - I’ve been known to get carried away with my love for fashion as much as the next person, but I’m talking about women going around wearing what hurts, what’s too tight, what’s trashy instead of sexy, what hangs awkwardly instead of fitting beautifully!Let’s calm down and get a grip! Do sexy and funky but please make sense.

For example, I’ve become very concerned with shoes! Everyone knows I love a pair of shoes but if it’s not my size it’s a wrap for me. Some women seem oblivious to the fact that continuously wearing a certain kind of shoe could open themselves up to bunions? On the train today I was shocked! This poor woman’s feet were begging for release in her slender stilettos – why would you do it to yourself?

My point is knock yourself out with all the fashion trends going etc but be true to your shape, size, frame and personal style…To wear a shirt where buttons are looking like they are about to explode is insane, and to wear a pair of jeans where ‘love handles’ look like raw buns is a sin, so why do it – it doesn’t look good – AT ALL!

I have been moaning and whinging about how I've been up against a brick wall in the last few months, and finally some of my prayers were answered last week! I HAVE A JOB - a good one at that! I work in New Media working on platforms to watch Television online blah blah blah (basically the same thing I was doing at ITV.)

Believe me when I say after being made redundant, having a car accident and slowly my losing faith in all things good including God, I have come out on the other side and truly believe that God may not come when you want him, but he is always on time!

I'm not going to preach because that is not what this blog is about. But I would just like to say thankyou to all my family and friends, who still found me bearable when sometimes - not all the time- my swaying moods and unsociable manner became questionable!

I think it's safe to say Rihanna is still in love with him, still hurt by the whole situation and still emotionally scarred by it all.

She talks about Chris' eyes but did anyone notice her eyes? Very intense! I think there was more for her to say about that night and the aftermath, but she thought against revealing more, and to be honest she was right. It is so unfortunate that this abusive situation occurred, but i think she now realises that the young girls who look up to her as a role model in all aspects of her life, also need guidance when it comes to these awful situations and more. That's alot of additional pressure that Rihanna has to deal with, but it comes with her star status unfortunately.

I hope both Rihanna and Chris can positively move on from this awful situation.

I was well and truly disappointed with the actions of Simon Cowell on the X -Factor Results Show.

Everyone knew that if Rachel was left to the voting public, she was going to be out of the count!!!! Simon knew this and played on that fact by going to DreadLock - clearly killing the competition.

Bless Rachel though, I don't think she could have taken another week in the bottom two, so it's good for her state of mind that she left when she did!

I HAVE GOT THE WINTER BLUES PEOPLE! BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! OHHHH BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

I am rubbing Vicks all over my body, taking a course of meds, wearing tracksuits at night to sweat out the cold - Shoot! I've even tried taking shots at night - clearly not mixed with my meds of course, but damn, I still can't shake this cold, and that's only part of my Winter Blues!!!!

I am feeling lazy, uninspired, weak, bored, and dare I say it - I think my swag is slipping (only slightly though,lol).

My "UMMPH" is missing. It could be a nasty case of S.A.D - Seasonal Affective Disorder. If you think your with me on this, here is some advise for us...

• Wear brighter colours

• Surround yourself with positive people

• Go to places that don’t suck the life out of you (you know the type of places that tick you off)

• Go on holiday (if you can afford it, I know I can’t)

• Stay active – go gym, do exercise, do star jumps but do something.

Jordin Sparks sings her international hit, "Tattoo", and at the risk of sounding cheeky, she looks a piece ruff here, but at least she sings beautifully.

This is an exhibit of Rihanna - pre the "Good Girl Gone Bad" makeover. Her vocal talents have always been in debate but she doesn't sound too bad here.

Kylie Minogue sounds pretty good even if I do say so myself, and she is really grinning away while she is singing as well. Kylie is in no doubt of her abilities to sing live! lol

I had to throw a male in there and Peter Andre was a juicy candidate, simply because he likes to do his thing, now that he has brought out 'proper music'. Not bad, not bad all.

I'm mean really...this Australian show - 'Hey Hey Hey It’s Saturday' - really thought this specticle was going to be considered acceptable.

A group of clowns took an imitation of the Jackson 5 way tooooooo far by blackening their faces, only for 'Michael' to come out looking as white as a ghost with wild hair! In this day and age it's just wrong, furthermore, Michael Jackson is dead for heaven sake - have a bit of respect guys! Geez!

The hip hop star, emerged out of no where and said: "Taylor, I'm really happy for you, and I'm gonna let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time."

I mean really, how embarrassing for Taylor Swift but more so for Kayne - it totally ruined her moment! He is even getting racial abuse on Twitter because of his appalling act. Just type in 'Kayne West Ni**er' into the twitter search box- shocking stuff!

Remembering this is the new positive me, can I just say that while I'm chasing dreams, people in the recruitment world are stomping on them - seriously!!!! These people aren't trying to assist me in my task to be the best at all. Cor blimey!

Even though I have career plans beyond the norm, I've been turfed from a couple of jobs via post and email today, that I didn't really want in the first place! All I was trying to do is make some lose change while I'm free, and all I've been met by is mockery. I find it all a bit shocking really. It's like my blessed name has been black listed or something!

In fact, I'm starting to think it must be one of two things which is blocking my success. I am either over - qualified or I'm under qualified, and I refuse to believe it's the lata, so therefore can someone tell me what's going on? And before you say it, the Recession is no longer a excuse! Sorry! I've seen my job out there but people aren't giving me a chance...

Don't worry about me though, I'm just going to keep on, keeping on because that's all I can do - short of turning into a fat pork chop without a penny to her name.

Needless to say, "I'm just a girl... looking for a job, to love her..."

YES, YES... a stimulated mind is what I’ve been graced with this week and I am grateful. It’s time to break those bad habits people, and make some new money making ones...and those of you, who think your life is all hunky dory - think again -

I think life in your 20s can be some of the most misguided years you’ll ever experience, because it’s a period where you’re finding yourselves in the big bad world. Do you ever get the feeling that you know where you want to get to life, but don’t know how to get there? This could be because you haven’t planned a damn thing, and you know what they say, “A person without a plan, plans to fail.”

There are two reasons I brought this up...
1.I am alittle bit of an procrastinator - just a little.
2.I attended an insightful seminar the other day called, “I AM MY BRAND”, headed by business entrepreneur, Kubi Springer

All I say is hats off to Kubi - THIS WOMAN IS NOT A JOKE! I am not going to give you her life story, but let’s just say she made me ask myself one question, “What the hell have I been doing out here?” Nah like, really?????????? Wasting my brain and time, concerned with utter foolishness and not maximising on my skills, my qualities, MY BRAND!!!!!!! Kubi offered people advice on the right ways to market yourself in business and even in relationships.

If i am honest, I‘ve got about 10 millions things I want to do with my life. I love to say, ‘I’m going to start this, that and the other...’ and then, as if my magic, the zest to get things done is gone...Well no more!! I have said this before but I am overly ambitious and need to apply myself more. So that’s me, what about you? What do you need to do to put your life, your business, your career in order?

Make no mistake! It's time that you knew your self -worth because you are a brand which is constantly being judged and expected to perform. So never let your BRAND slip!!!

Whatever it is you want to accomplish, start thinking and planning.

To be, or not to be a 'Brown Nose?'

I'm just throwing this out there...

A "Brown Nose" - A person who does WHATEVER it takes to please someone else, at whatever cost. Or in its rawest terms, a person - much like the image above - has their face so far up another person bum (through sucking-up to them), that they end up having S**T on their noses - hence the term, 'BROWN NOSE'.

I'm often in conversations with my friends and colleagues about what it takes to get ahead in life, and more specifically, in the work place. Some people sleep their way to the top, some always make it their business to buy all the rounds in the pub, even if they're down to their last penny, but the more serial offenders, are those who have the "Yes Sir, Yes Sir, Three bags full Sir" attitude. You know what I mean, those people that will say, "Oh could I get that for you, John?", "Tea John?"," Can I lick your toes John?". I'm sure you get my point, but please, excuse the pun, when I say, if you do it too much, it just stinks...

Is it all necessary? That's my question! Must we be the first person at work, and the last one out? Must we do more than our job spec and never complain? Must we get the tea even though no ones thirsty? Must we? Must we? You most certainly don't need to if you're comfortable with your position at work. But if you're the one in the office that always gets caught skiving, YOU'RE THE ONE taking year long 'tea' breaks and it's you, YES YOU, who turns into Lewis Hamilton at the strike of 5pm, it maybe time for a slight injection of the Brown Nose mentality - especially if you want to progress in your career.

Now, I don't want people to misunderstand my viewpoint, because I can't stand the conventional acts of a Brown Nose, however I have witnessed - and I know you have to - the benefits of performing Brown Nose acts. Making the tea before it's ask of you, asking your boss whether they need any assistance, volunteering your services even when it's not required, these are all conventional moves of a Brown Nose. The Boss loves it and the Brown Nose gets a head, while you're still trailing behind, if noticed at all.

What I propose is a slightly less irritating option, one which allows your nose to be free. I propose, that you just do one better than you did before, gradually do little extra things which will allow you to be seen as a good team player and a valid employee. I think it's the way the Brown Nose can alienate their colleagues, and tend to rub your nose in it indirectly which really gets my goat.

But I 'm here to tell you that good work, is good work, and if you know that's what your doing, keep it up. However, if you haven't finished something and it could be left until tomorrow, maybe one day consider staying there until its done - if possible. Easy does it...

As for me, I have come to a monumental decision, and in my new job, I will attempt to gradually pull out all the stops, but not annoyingly like a certified Brown Nose, but just enough for me to always be remembered and valued.

I much rather be remembered as I high achiever, than a certified Brown Nose!!!!!!!

My bones have only just got use to the fact that Michael Jackson has left us, and now we prepare ourselves for one of the biggest memorials of all time.

Hundreds and thousands of fans are set to attend the memorial tomorrow (Tuesday)in L.A.

But as you must have heard, there's a policy - 'If your names not down, you not coming in' - well sort of! Only ticket holders and credentialed press will get into the Staduim, but if you manage to get a flight and get down there you will be joining the thousands of non - ticket holders that will try to crash the event aswell.

Tickets were going for as much as $1,000. I would say I'm shocked but it's MJ - anything is possible.

I wish I could be there to show my respects and see the likes of The Jacksons, Justin Timberlake, Jennifer Hudson, Mariah etc pay homage to the King of Pop.

Michael Jackson suffered from a cardiac arrest earlier today and paramedics were unable to revive him. According to TMZ.com, when paramedics arrived Jackson had no pulse and they never got a pulse back.

He didn't get a chance to start his European Tour - so sad!!!

A Los Angeles Superior Court sentenced R&B artist, Chris Brown to five years probation and 180 hours community service, as a result of a plea agreement that kept him from doing jail time, People Magazine reports.

He has to stay away from Ri Ri for at least 5 years as part of his court order!!! That is going to be mighty difficult innit?????

This weeks Apprentice was hilarious, with viewers watched the candidates struggle to sell the most abominable items I've ever seen i.e. boots and bits of brown carpet.lol.

Ben and Phil were the teams leaders for the challenge, and both did a crap job if you ask me. However, what I found interesting was the change in Ben. He shows himself to be very egotistical and loud, and yet by the end of this task, Ben was a broken man (to which made hilarious viewing).

Debra! Debra! Debra! She is waaaaaaaaayyy too mouthy for me. Even Sir Alan Sugar had to tell the woman to fix up, before she got kicked out prematurely. I hope for her sake she listens to Sir Alan because she is really starting to get on my nerves.

As for science teacher, Noorul Choudhury, he is extremely lucky he made it this far. This episode showed him to be the most vocal, but probably because he was under threat.

If you're really honest with yourself, you know you should never really trust any fast food outlet, because they will straight, 'no.2' in your food without a second thought.

OK! Could be a slight exaggeration, but the point I'm trying to make is that you just don't know what people do with the food that you buy.

I watched Fearne's documentary about Anorexia and how young girls - as young as 10 year old - are conscious of their weight.

It boggles the mind, as to why a 10 year old would be concerned about their body weight and not just concentrating on having fun. However, it is clear that concerns about the body can run deeper than the thought of being 'fat' - there is a bad psychological aspect to anorexia which often results in a waste of life.

The programme also made reference to PRO ANOR websites, which advise people on how to stay stick thin - offering strict diets, pictures of the right way to look - it is some scary stuff.

Young people, in particular girls, are dying and it's so important young people to know that being thin, does NOT equal happiness or even a long life.

Fearne was right to do a documentary like this, especially in the position she is in...

TELL TELL TIT, Lewis Hamilton has been stripped of his third place position at the season-opening, Australian Grand Prix for lying to the race stewards. Surely not!

After some thorough investigation, the Stewards reopened their enquiry on Thursday and summoned Hamilton to a meeting at the Sepang circuit.

The Stewards verdict: "Hamilton and... McLaren Mercedes acted in a manner prejudicial to the conduct of the event by providing evidence deliberately misleading to the stewards at the hearing on Sunday."

So in English, the Stewards said Hamilton and his McLaren team breached the international sporting code - therefore the Stewards said 'kick rocks' (you're disqualified).

It looks like spending 3 months in the Caribbean may have affected our Amy a bit too for her labels liking...

The 25 year old, troubled "Rehab" singer, has apparently been so heavily influenced but the reggae tones of the Caribbean, that her whole music style could be taken in a reggae direction. Island records, (Amy's label) are said to have turned away most of the songs the poor girl wrote on her holiday break. Shucks!

However, a spokesperson from the label begs to differ from the rumours of them neglecting her heart felt tunes.

But let's be honest, you know the label must be thinking that if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Amy is very soulful, but reggae is a whole other area which I'm not too sure whether she or her fans are ready for...

Jade Goody Loses Cancer battle

Jade Goody, 27, lost her fight against cervical cancer in the early hours of this morning. The irony about the sad situation is Jade was fighting so hard to raise as much money as she could for her two young boys, and be there for them as long as she could manage, but tragically lost her fight on Mother's Day.

Jade made her battle public knowledge, and in doing so, brought more awareness to cervical cancer, allowing more young women to take the Smear test.

My deepest sympathies are extended to her family and friends.

Yes, Leon Jackson has been turfed from Sony record label after just one album. Oh the shame! Lets be honest, who was even paying attention to Leon anyway? He is hardly on the scale of Alexandra, Leona or even the Rhydian (semi finalist with Leon) for that matter.

To add insult to injury, on Saturday, Leona was given £1 million to sing 7 songs for the Phones4you founder, John Caudwell's daughter Libby's birthday party. There was only 200 people at little gathering .Fancy that!

Americans Next Top Model held castings for the next series in Manhattan, New York on Saturday. As per usual, all the women attended looking hot to trot, in their heels and so forth. All of sudden, (as if i was there...lol) a loud noise to goes off, someone shouts out, "THERE'S A BOMB!" and they all started running for their lives - OK not funny. But what was funny was that the actual sound the girls were running from, came from an overheated car - no bomb people, no bomb!

When you watch the video, you're gonna see women screaming and running, but they soon come back, so they must have realised they were deceived. Shocking stuff!

Cargo’s nightspot saw ILUVLIVE pay its respects to home-grown urban talent and as usual, the live show didn’t disappoint.

With a host of acts ready to kill the stage, regular hosts Ras Kwame and Twin B, got straight into introducing the first act of the night, Charlie Brown. This south Londoner showed off his charismatic nature while giving the crowd a taste of his soulful melodies. He is definitely one to watch in 2009.

Ava Leigh, another act who is clearly heavily influence by old school reggae music, pleasantly surprised the crowd with a dazzling reggae style tone to her voice. Ava’s debut single, “La La La” had people closing their eyes, singing, and feeling her reggae vibe through every song she donned.

Crazy Cousinz energy was on point, they came to ILUVLIVE to make the crowd dance and that’s exactly what they did. The funky house performers had fans ‘bubbling bubbling,’ and doing the 1-2- step on the dance floor to their club smash, “Bongos”. There is no question that Crazy Cousinz have some of the most infectious tunes in the club scene at the moment, and the crowd loved their performance.

However, the most energetic performance of the night, hands down, went to Ghetts. He ripped through the stage with his debut single, “Sing 4 me”, and actually made the ladies sing as a result. Ghetts is definitely a crowd pleaser, and his flow was unstoppable especially when he performed, “Got your number” with Griminal (MC).

The female act to steal the show was MPHO. This lady was singing soulful, rapping heavy and even offered some MC-ing, over anything from pop electric beats to hip hop. It’s safe to say that this lady will not be shoved into one musical box, and more power to her. You have to look out for MPHO’s single, ‘Screw face girl’ – the single is very entertaining, and speaks for itself.

The headlining act was one of UK’s finest – Sway. He gave a very personal performance with an unreleased track, “Happy New Year,” detailing the ups and downs of 2008. Sway also paid tribute to his close friend, Kaya Bousquet who tragically died in a car crash last year. The crowd attentively listen to his heart felt lyrics, while clearly still appreciating his musical talent.

But it wasn’t all serious for Sway, he did make jokes with the crowd and performed his radio hit, “F your EX.’ Unfortunately, Shystie wasn’t there to perform the track with him, but Sway did invite his new signing, Rapture, to the stage to show off his skills.

As live events go, ILUVLIVE offers up and coming urban music at its best in the UK. It also offers an open mic session to the talent in the crowd. So if you love urban music, you’re going to love ILUVLIVE. Make sure you catch the next show at Favela Chic on the 6th April.

I know I’m a little late to watch this film, but never the less He’s Just Not That Into You needs to be watched by the world. It’s not that it’s the most hilarious film or action packed film for that matter. However, this film simply tells the truth about them crusty lines women say to men, and indeed men say to women. The TRUTH about relationships is aired for our cinematic pleasure in all its ugliness. There are so many lines in He’s Just Not That Into You that would have both sexes saying, “I’ve used that line before”, “I’ve heard that before...” tut tut

The message is clear, but I’m going to reiterate...

Stop trying to convince yourself of nonsense. If the man once called you regularly and all of a sudden ceases to do so, don’t stalk him down. If she tells you she’s got a boyfriend, she DOESN’T want you be a new ‘friend’instead. If you’re the one doing the chasing, turn around and see who the hell is chasing you!!!! No one right? Move on mate!

I think you get my point. It’s time to read the signs people, especially us ladies – read the signs...

Complaints about 'all black' Eastenders

Can you believe there were 239 complaints about there being an all black episode of Eastenders last Tuesday.

The BBC released a statement: "It is not unusual for EastEnders to devote a whole episode to a single storyline or set of characters, and this episode was one of these occasions. This was an opportunity to explore in some depth the background and experiences of Patrick Trueman.

"Some viewers felt it was unnecessary to raise the subject of the Notting Hill race riots. These form part of the character's experience, as well as British history, and we feel it was absolutely legitimate for these characters to discuss them."

I say good on ya, BBC.It's not like Eastenders is suddenly turning into Channel 4's old favourite Desmonds. Geez!

This episode was the first of its kind and will probably be the last. What's the big deal!! Like the statement says, they dedicate episodes to a single characters every now and then, what's the difference now!Cor....

This is shocking stuff! Just shocking! This poor 15 year girl was badly beaten up, by none other than the POLICE, and it all happened in a jail cell, where there are cameras - hence why I've put up the video for you to watch.

Near the end of the footage, you'll hear a reporter saying that the authorities are still excising the idea of there always being 'two sides to every story.'SORRY - NOT IN THIS CASE...This act is just outrageous - whether the girl was rude or not!

WHAT IS IT ALL ABOUT?

A man has been arrested last month for allegedly sending Obama and staff, blood infected HIV in the post weeks before the inauguration. Yes, he sent it in the post!!!!!! What type of behaviour is that?

The man in question is Saad Hussein, an Ethiopian refugee who is in is 20s. I mean MY GOD!

Hussein told the FBI he is "very sick with HIV" and proceeded to cut his fingers with a razor, so he could bleed on the letters he to sent to the now US President, Barack Obama.

Hussein is being treated for Mental Illness and I should think so too.

That is scary!
